A course of study to acquire a basic level of Plautdietsch language skills, has finally been found, in a one volume text of weekly lessons, Wi Leahre Plautdietsch: A Beginner's Guide to Mennonite Low German by Isaias McCaffery (Sep 2 2008). One of the early folktales, De Tuunkjeenig (the wren) common to the low land Saxon peoples has been recorded in the Molochna and Khortiza dialects of Plautdietsch. These are found on the audio page.

A new Facebook page featuring cartoons with Plautdietsch cartoons is now available. This is found on the Plautdietsch Links page under the Resources section.Over 1000 people have liked this and many and various people from many parts of the world are commenting on the cartoons. Many people are using this as an exercise for learning to understand written Plautdietsch by testing their translations or requesting help from others.

I have updated the Comments section of this website with comments received from February 2012 until now. These include a new URL for The New Plautdietsch Lexicom by Loren Koehler and Ed Zacharias (the relevant link in the Dictionaries page under the Resources section has been updated.) These comments also include other corrections and requests for help from people wanting to remember or retrieve oral traditions, or wanting help with projects of writing poetry inspired by plautdietsch words or sayings. see new comments
